Accountant (Part-Time)
HALEYS is seeking a qualified Part-Time Accountant to manage all financial transactions and ensure the accurate maintenance of the general ledger. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in bookkeeping and demonstrate a strong numerical aptitude. This position is remote and requires a commitment of 30 hours per month.
Responsibilities:
Record accounts payable disbursements and payments.
Compile and post credit card transactions.
Prepare and post payroll journal entries.
Post invoices and cash receipts.
Reconcile cash accounts with bank statements.
Ensure each transaction is accurately recorded in the appropriate account.
Manage month-end closings.
Complete quarterly California and monthly Washington sales and use tax filings.
Execute year-end 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC forms, along with various state requirements.
Qualifications:
Proven work experience as an Accountant.
Extensive knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
