Accountant (Part-Time)

HALEYS is seeking a qualified Part-Time Accountant to manage all financial transactions and ensure the accurate maintenance of the general ledger. The ideal candidate will possess prior experience in bookkeeping and demonstrate a strong numerical aptitude. This position is remote and requires a commitment of 30 hours per month.

Responsibilities:

  • Record accounts payable disbursements and payments.

  • Compile and post credit card transactions.

  • Prepare and post payroll journal entries.

  • Post invoices and cash receipts.

  • Reconcile cash accounts with bank statements.

  • Ensure each transaction is accurately recorded in the appropriate account.

  • Manage month-end closings.

  • Complete quarterly California and monthly Washington sales and use tax filings.

  • Execute year-end 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC forms, along with various state requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven work experience as an Accountant.

  • Extensive knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
