Virtual Certified Special Education Case Manager 2025-26 School Year (Part-Time)

Proximity Learning is seeking Case Managers to Join our Special Education Team!

About the Job

The case manager ensures compliance with state and federal regulations for Individual Education Plans (IEPs). They coordinate special education services for diverse students, working with teachers, parents, and professionals in virtual settings. The ideal candidate should understand special education laws, possess strong organizational and communication skills, and collect data to support students' physical, social, academic, behavioral, and emotional growth.

Compensation

  • For 1-15 students: $700 (biweekly)

  • For 16-25 students: $1400 (biweekly)

Note: Compensation is capped at 25 students.

Non-negotiable Requirements

  • Active US State-Issued Special Education certification

  • Degree in Special Education

  • Not Currently Teaching: We cannot consider candidates who are actively teaching.

  • Must be available for a block of 6 hours Mon.-Fri. between 7:00 am & 4:00 pm

  • Proficiency in using virtual tools and resources

  • Highly comfortable with technology and quick to learn the school’s (SIS) platforms

Essential Responsibilities

Manage and coordinate special education services for students with diverse learning needs

  • IEP Revision Meetings

  • MDR IEP Meetings

  • Re-Eval IEP Meetings: Case Managers do not conduct testing but can write the IEP using data provided by the district. They do not perform the necessary evaluations for reevaluations.

  • Staffing prior to IEP meetings

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational professionals to develop and implement IEPs for virtual or in-person settings.

  • Monitor progress, provide feedback, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations

  • Work with service providers to support students' physical, social, academic, behavioral, and emotional development.

  • Oversee and coordinate Special Education services in a virtual setting.

  • Schedule and lead IEP meetings, ensuring compliance with service timelines.

  • Maintain electronic academic records per district, state, and federal regulations.

  • Collect and analyze data to develop IEPs with pre- and post-assessments.

  • Establish appropriate accommodations and modifications for all learning environments.

  • Collaborate with district teams to ensure communication and data availability.

  • Build strong relationships with students, families, and school personnel to support academic success
