About the Role

We are seeking a strategically-minded SEO Keyword Research Specialist to enrich our content and marketing efforts. In this role, you will be the expert in identifying the exact language our clients' target audiences are using to search for information online. Your primary focus will be on conducting in-depth keyword research for blog content and articles, webinar topics, and overall marketing messaging, ensuring everything we create is optimized for discoverability and relevance. You'll play a crucial role in providing the foundational data that empowers our organic marketing strategies across social, email, and content.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify high-potential terms and topics for blog posts, articles, and content marketing initiatives.

  2. Analyze search volume, keyword difficulty, and search intent to prioritize keywords that align with client goals and agency capabilities.

  3. Uncover long-tail keywords and niche opportunities to capture highly qualified traffic for organic marketing channels.

  4. Identify relevant keywords for optimizing email subject lines, webinar titles, social media captions, and other marketing copy.

  5. Stay up-to-date with SEO trends and algorithm changes, particularly as they relate to content and keyword ranking.

  6. Provide clear, actionable keyword recommendations and content briefs to the marketing teams.

  7. Use various keyword research tools (both free and potentially paid) to gather and analyze data.

Must-Have Skills

  1. Proven experience in SEO keyword research for content creation.

  2. Strong understanding of search intent (informational, navigational, commercial, transactional).

  3. Proficiency with at least one or more leading keyword research tools (e.g., Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Ubersuggest, KWFinder, AnswerThePublic – demonstrated ability to utilize any of these effectively is key).

  4. Excellent analytical skills to interpret keyword data and translate it into actionable insights.

  5. Ability to organize and present keyword data in a clear, digestible format (e.g., spreadsheets, reports).

  6. Strong understanding of how keywords influence organic traffic for blogs and content.

  7. Familiarity with current SEO best practices for on-page optimization.

  8. Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to research.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  1. Experience in the health, wellness, or integrative medicine niche.

Hours & Pay

  1. This is a part-time, hourly role with flexible scheduling

  2. Estimated 5 hours per week to start, with room to grow

  3. $20-28 an hour depending on experience
