Sales Channel Manager (Part-Time)

About The Letter Nest®

The Letter Nest is a brand of educational alphabet art founded by Sally King McBride, based in New York City. Our products derive from over 25 themed watercolor alphabets, made-to-order by a team of U.S.-based suppliers. Since 2019, we've built a loyal direct-to-consumer following and established a presence across multiple additional sales channels.

We’re looking for a driven and enthusiastic sales professional to take the reins on these existing sales channels: to scale what’s working, and to identify new opportunities for growth in the areas of Wholesale/Faire, Etsy, Trade, and Strategic Partnerships.

The Role

As our Part-Time Sales Channel Manager, you will own the growth and performance of The Letter Nest’s (non-DTC) sales channels. You’ll be responsible for deepening relationships with existing wholesale accounts, increasing revenue, and bringing a strategic, proactive mindset to each channel.

This is a remote, part-time position. You’ll check in weekly with the Founder and join a monthly fullteam meeting. Beyond that, you’ll have the autonomy to manage your own schedule and workflow.

Sales Channels & Key Responsibilities

1. Wholesale & Retail Partnerships

The Letter Nest has a few established relationships with independent retailers. Your job is to grow and nurture this network: identify and open new accounts, and manage existing relationships.

  • Help to source new suppliers so that The Letter Nest can broaden its wholesale product offering

  • Identify, pitch, and onboard new wholesale accounts (bookstores, children’s boutiques, stationery stores, museum shops)

  • Maintain and deepen relationships with existing wholesale partners, serving as first point-of-contact for their inquiries and concerns, and ensure partners are equipped with up-to-date product information

  • Oversee our Shopify Wholesale Gorilla, and our Faire/Wholesale Marketplace

2. Etsy

  • Manage and optimize The Letter Nest’s Etsy storefront: listings, photography, pricing, promotions

  • Monitor Etsy shop performance, reviews, and search rankings; implement improvements to drive traffic and conversion Sally@theletternest.com theletternest.com

  • Coordinate seasonal updates, new product launches, and promotions

3. Trade Program

  • Help us launch and cultivate a dedicated trade program with Interior Designers, who’ve championed our small business from the start.

4. Client Outreach: User-Generated Content

One of The Letter Nest’s most powerful marketing assets is real-life imagery from clients. Helping us build a library of authentic customer content will be a key part of this role:

  • Develop and execute a systematic outreach program to past and current customers, encouraging them to share nursery photos and in-situ imagery

  • Build relationships with interior designers, stylists, and family photographers who feature Letter Nest products

  • Coordinate UGC permissions and organize an accessible content library for use across social media, the website, and marketing materials

5. Channel Performance & Reporting

You’ll be expected to monitor and report on performance across your designated channels, and relay this information at weekly check-ins with the Founder, including strategic recommendations on where we can grow.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of the wholesale and retail landscape for small, product-based brands

  • Proven experience managing e-commerce or wholesale sales channels: Shopify, Faire, and/or Etsy experience preferred

  • Experience with influencer outreach, UGC collection, and/or brand partnerships

  • Highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial; Results-driven with strong organizational skills

  • Exceptional communications skills: we are a letter-based brand that prioritizes thoughtful correspondence with all clients and constituents

  • A genuine love of small business/children’s lifestyle brands is a plus!

The Details

  • Hours: Part-time (~10 hours/week, with potential to grow)

  • Schedule: Remote, with a weekly check-in with the Founder and monthly full-team meeting

  • Compensation: Hourly, commensurate with experience

  • Location: Fully remote (U.S.-based)
