We're seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teen Debate Teacher to inspire and empower young minds through the art of debate. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in fostering a generation of informed and confident individuals who can express their ideas thoughtfully and respectfully.
Key Responsibilities
Engaging Curriculum: Craft a captivating debate curriculum tailored to the interests and experiences of teenagers, making learning relevant and exciting.
Interactive Learning: Deliver dynamic and interactive debate lessons that resonate with teenagers, encouraging them to participate actively and explore diverse viewpoints.
Skill Development: Recognize each student's unique abilities and areas for growth, providing personalized guidance to help them advance their debate skills.
Structured Debates: Facilitate structured debates that cultivate critical thinking, evidence-based reasoning, and the ability to present compelling arguments.
Research Techniques: Instruct students in effective research methods, aiding them in sourcing credible information to bolster their arguments.
Confident Communication: Offer comprehensive training in public speaking, empowering teenagers to communicate confidently and persuasively.
Exploring Formats: Introduce students to various debate formats, allowing them to experiment with different styles of argumentation.
Simulated Debates: Organize mock debate sessions that mimic real-world scenarios, giving students a safe space to apply their skills.
Ethical Engagement: Foster an inclusive environment where ethical communication, active listening, and open-mindedness are upheld.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (Master's preferred).
Previous experience teaching or mentoring teenagers, preferably in debate or a related discipline.
Solid grasp of debate techniques, argumentation strategies, and public speaking principles.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with and motivate teenagers.
Patient and approachable attitude conducive to teenagers' personal and intellectual growth.
Strong organizational skills to manage debate events and activities.
