Marketing & Communications Coordinator (Freelance)

Hours: Part-time flexible hours (est. 20 hrs/week) 
Location: Remote 

Position Overview: 

The Stanford Medicine WellMD & WellPhD Center’s communications team seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Marketing & Communications Coordinator to support our efforts to advance physician and scientist well-being at Stanford Medicine and beyond. This entry-level, part-time position reports to the Marketing Manager and is remote. In this role, the coordinator will support the team in communicating the Center’s mission and advancements through website maintenance, email marketing, data management, and other projects as assigned. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Support website maintenance and search engine optimization (SEO) efforts. 

  • Collaborate on content and maintenance of email marketing campaigns, email audiences, and e-newsletter.  

  • Manage data entry for performance dashboards and analytics. 

  • Partner across Center teams to maintain brand consistency in communications and marketing materials. 

  • Assist in the Center’s marketing and communications operations as needed. 

Qualifications and Characteristics: 

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.  

  • Ability to communicate and work independently in a remote work environment across multiple time zones. 

  • Time management skills and able to work a flexible schedule while meeting deadlines. 

  • Proficient in Google Sheets, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 

  • Basic understanding of key marketing concepts. 

  • Curiosity and willingness to learn about academic medicine, well-being, and marketing. 

  • NOT REQUIRED Bonus—experience with marketing and project management platforms (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), MailChimp, Smartsheets, Asana, etc.) 

The expected pay range for this position is $23.24 to $28.81 per hour. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
