Graphic Designer and Website Manager (Part-Time)
Position Summary:
Working Credit seeks to contract a Graphic Designer and Website Manager to join our Community Engagement team and play a vital role in supporting our marketing efforts. This position is responsible for supporting the vision and branding strategy for the organization by: creating marketing collateral; developing graphics; assisting with social media management and creation; managing websites and editing videos.
Key Responsibilities:
Graphic Design
Design marketing materials, including flyers, presentations, social media graphics, and email templates.
Prepare communications and marketing assets and create design templates, including the creation and editing of videos.
Maintain Working Credit’s brand guidelines.
Support the Communications Coordinator in monitoring WC’s social media presence and external exposure across outlets and channels.
Website Design and Maintenance
Manage and maintain two websites, ensuring they’re up-to-date and user-friendly.
Develop layouts, UI components, and interactive elements for the websites.
Optimize website designs for different screen sizes and accessibility needs.
Gather content from internal teams for website updates.
Use content management systems (e.g., WordPress, CMS).
Set up and maintain special sections and forms on the website.
Other
Participate in weekly Marketing Meetings, and other meetings as requested.
Create and edit videos for: spotlight participant’s stories and educational campaigns.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
2+ years of experience in communications and marketing
Strong proficiency and understanding of WordPress, MailChimp, and Canva.
Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent composition and visual design skills
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
Strong ability to be flexible and responsive to outside events
Must be culturally responsive and have a strong commitment to interrupting structural racism
Must possess the ability to receive feedback and pivot when needed
Experience with online video recording and editing is highly desirable
Experience and comfort working independently and remotely with colleagues
Experience working with multiple stakeholders
Experience with launching public campaigns
Compensation:
This is a part-time, hourly position, starting at $25/hour.
