Grant Writer - Part-time
ProjectArt is a national arts education non-profit which, in partnership with public libraries, empowers youth, artists, and their communities by offering free visual arts classes and artist residencies.
Job Purpose
The Grant Writer will gather documentation and fulfill the necessary requirements of various funding bodies to formally seek funding on behalf of ProjectArt. The Grant Writer will collaborate with ProjectArt staff to obtain the information needed to produce competitive proposals and reports. Successful candidates will have a proven track record of identifying new revenue sources and preparing exceptional proposals and reports that result in grant awards.
Essential Functions:
Understand ProjectArt's history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs in order to write successful proposals and reports
Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of federal programs and foundations
Submit proposals to ProjectArt staff for review and make necessary edits
Maintain records and submit reports related to grant awards
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, business administration or a related area (master’s degree preferred)
A minimum of two years experience in grant writing with proof of awards
Outstanding written communication skills and editing skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while meeting respective deadlines
Excellent knowledge of proposal submission and fundraising processes
Ability to evaluate, interpret, and present complex information effectively with acute attention to detail
Schedule:
Fully remote
20 hours per week; availability within 9am-6pm EST Monday-Friday
Compensation:
$20-$30/ hr, depending on experience.
