Communications Manager (Contract)
About Lumos Transforms
Lumos Transforms is a US-based social enterprise advancing trauma-informed, embodied approaches to resilience, healing, and systems transformation. Our work integrates nervous system science, collective care, and structural analysis to support sustainable change across healthcare, education, arts, and social movement ecosystems.
Lumos’ methodologies have delivered measurable, transformative impact in complex environments where burnout, trauma exposure, and systemic harm are real constraints. We approach communications as a core site of narrative power-building—shaping how people understand resilience, responsibility, and possibility in this moment.

Lumos Transforms is recruiting a Communications Manager to support the day-to-day execution of our communications and content strategy. This is a hands-on role for a skilled producer, editor, and coordinator who can translate narrative direction into consistent, high-quality output across platforms. The Communications Manager works closely with the Communications Director to implement strategy, monitor performance, and adapt tactics based on learning. This role carries primary responsibility for content production and circulation, with operational support from a Communications Coordinator.

Are a confident writer and editor who can adapt voice across audiences and platforms
Are comfortable working in small, evolving organizations where clarity, initiative, and collaboration matter
Understand communications as both a practical function and a narrative intervention
Are organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple timelines without losing coherence

This is a part-time (20 hours/week), fully remote position
The role is structured as a 3-month 1099 contract, with a formal evaluation at the end of that period
