Remote Bookkeeper and Finance Administrator (Contract, Freelance)
Contract: Independent Contractor, remote position One Year contract with renewal.
Hours: Part time 10 hours per week (with option to do more at times), remote and flexible working
Salary: 10 hours per week at $25 USD per hour

DDPI Worldwide is a not-for-profit global organization which provides training, certification, and supervision in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and Practice (DDP). DDP is a therapeutic treatment model for children with significant developmental trauma, their families and caregivers.
We are looking for a Bookkeeper and Finance Administrator to join our team part time to support our growing organisation and the future Foundation. You will be working with our Operational team day-to-day, be committed to racial equity and social justice and approach the role in line with our core Values.
Position overview
This is a fully remote role that requires experience using online platforms and processes. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, excellent communicator with strong IT skills.
This is a part-time role within a globally distributed team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating international jurisdictions and currencies, particularly within the US (IRS / 501(c)(3) nonprofit compliance), UK, and Australia. You’ll work closely with our Executive team to support multi-currency financial tracking, cross-border invoicing, and accurate recordkeeping for donors, funders, and partners. Familiarity with international nonprofit structures—especially IRS Form 990 reporting, ethical funding principles, and restricted/unrestricted income categorisation—is an advantage.
Proficiency in financial software (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar) and the ability to generate clear, actionable reports for non-finance stakeholders is essential. Knowledge of Zoho Creator or willingness to learn is a bonus.
We are especially interested in candidates who understand the unique demands of working in a values-driven, trauma-informed, and relational organisation, and who can bring both rigour and relational care to financial systems.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Maintain accurate financial records
Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards
Process transactions and manage accounts payable and receivable
Reconcile bank statements and ensure discrepancies are resolved promptly
Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings
Provide financial advice to our Executive Team and insights to support their business decisions
Collaborate with the accountants and auditors to ensure seamless service delivery
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper
Experience in an accounts or similar finance role
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Proactive attitude and attention to detail
Strong IT and accounting software skills
