We are looking for a Bookkeeper and Finance Administrator to join our team part time to support our growing organisation and the future Foundation. You will be working with our Operational team day-to-day, be committed to racial equity and social justice and approach the role in line with our core Values.

Position overview

This is a part-time role within a globally distributed team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating international jurisdictions and currencies, particularly within the US (IRS / 501(c)(3) nonprofit compliance), UK, and Australia. You’ll work closely with our Executive team to support multi-currency financial tracking, cross-border invoicing, and accurate recordkeeping for donors, funders, and partners. Familiarity with international nonprofit structures—especially IRS Form 990 reporting, ethical funding principles, and restricted/unrestricted income categorisation—is an advantage.

Proficiency in financial software (e.g. QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar) and the ability to generate clear, actionable reports for non-finance stakeholders is essential. Knowledge of Zoho Creator or willingness to learn is a bonus.

We are especially interested in candidates who understand the unique demands of working in a values-driven, trauma-informed, and relational organisation, and who can bring both rigour and relational care to financial systems.

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper

  • Experience in an accounts or similar finance role

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines

  • Proactive attitude and attention to detail

  • Strong IT and accounting software skills
