Marketing and Growth Partner (Part-Time)

Company Overview
Red Clay Creative (RCC) is a digital agency focused on helping mission-driven organizations and nonprofits build websites and creative assets that make real impact. We combine strategy, design, and technology to help organizations connect with their audiences and
achieve their goals.

We’re now entering a focused growth phase, doubling down on our core market: nonprofits and mission-driven organizations with annual revenues between $1M–$100M. We’re looking for a marketing partner, an individual or small agency, to help us attract and engage more of these organizations.

What We’re Trying to Accomplish
We want to build a consistent, thoughtful marketing presence that connects Red Clay Creative with decision-makers at mid-size nonprofits and purpose-driven organizations.

We’ve built a strong portfolio and reputation through referrals, but our marketing efforts have been inconsistent. We need direction, strategy, and execution support to grow intentionally.

Key goals:

  • Develop a strategy to consistently reach nonprofit and mission-driven organizations
    that fit our target profile.

  • Improve our visibility and positioning on digital platforms.

  • Grow our email list and audience over time with meaningful, relevant content.

  • Guide and manage the execution of campaigns. We’re open to creating content, but we need someone to direct it and handle publishing.

  • Provide clarity around B2B lead generation, helping us understand what works and
    what doesn’t in this space.

Current Context
We’ve tested Google Ads for nonprofit-targeted campaigns, but results were mixed - leads were inconsistent and often not a fit. We suspect this was due to short duration, audience targeting, and landing page setup, but we’re open to refining or revisiting that strategy.

We’ve also had success with B2C-style marketing for our clients, but our own B2B marketing (especially for nonprofits) needs clearer structure and guidance. We’re open to experimenting with content, newsletters, and paid ads, but we don’t want to handle day-to-day posting or micromanage campaigns.

The most important thing is that whatever we put out into the world, we want to match the quality of the work that we do for our clients. We would rather do one thing really well, over five initiatives with lazy execution.

What We’re Looking For
We’re open to proposals from:

  • Part-time marketing strategists (5 - 10 hrs/week)

  • Small marketing agencies experienced with creative firms, nonprofits, or B2B marketing.

You should be able to:

  • Audit our current marketing presence and identify opportunities for positioning.

  • Recommend and implement a marketing roadmap (content, campaigns, ads, partnerships, etc.).

  • Manage or oversee execution on platforms like LinkedIn and email.

  • Develop measurable goals and report on performance.

  • Collaborate with our internal team for creative production (copy, design, etc.).

Experience that will really set someone apart:

  • Understanding of nonprofit fundraising and communications.

  • Experience with agency marketing or professional services marketing.

  • Ability to translate creative work into compelling marketing stories.

Deliverables & Timeline
We’re looking to start with a 3–6 month engagement focused on building momentum and proving traction.

Deliverables might include:

  • Marketing strategy and messaging framework

  • LinkedIn + email content calendar

  • List-building strategy for nonprofit audience

  • Campaign management and reporting

Budget: Flexible, depending on scope and experience.

We expect proposals outlining hourly/retainer rates or recommended project-based structures.
