Finance Manager (Part-Time)
FLSA Classification: Non-exempt
Location: Remote, East Coast preferred, must be available during the day
Hourly Wage: $35/hr
Summary: Our client base is expanding and this is a great opportunity to add another Finance Manager to assist with new and existing clients. This role will require a candidate to be nimble to the expanding nature of this role. The Finance Manager is responsible for providing financial services to the assigned TCG clients which includes both nonprofits and for-profit organizations. This position has the opportunity to expand depending on projects and as we continue to onboard new clients. The position is virtual and reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Essential Functions
For Clients:
Manage client inquiries and provide timely responses;
Manages the classification and recording of financial transactions, maintains records, and prepare monthly financial statements and reports for the client organizations;
Audit financial data and transactions, including payroll, general ledgers, cash receipts, and accounts payable/receivable to reflect the financial operations of the client organizations;
Coordinate and process payroll according to the clients’ pay schedules;
Process 403b / IRA retirement account contributions for the organizations and process Form 5500 for clients annually;
Assist with preparing customized financial statements and reports for the client organization to include updates on restricted/unrestricted grants, and grant tracking activity;
Assist with developing cost allocations and reporting templates, and make improvements as necessary;
Assist with budget creation each fiscal year with client and TCG’s finance team;
Reconcile quarterly payroll reports;
Compile necessary documents needed for annual audits;
Monitor deliverables from bookkeeping team;
Retrieve monthly bank, credit card, and other transaction data, and statements for the bookkeeping team to reconcile;
Other administrative projects as assigned to aid in the operational success of TCG and its clients.
Preferred Education and Experience
At least five (5) years of accounting experience with at least three years at the senior account level or above.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
Nonprofit experience preferred
Experience in QuickBooks, Gusto, ADP, and/or Paychex preferred
Highly organized and detail-oriented required as the position requires servicing multiple organizations simultaneously
Willingness to learn and pitch in at all levels

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
