Communications Coordinator (Part-Time)

Mission

A Child for All (“ACFA”) is a small U.S. non-profit organization which provides vulnerable children in Mali, West Africa, with a safe and loving environment, which fosters their health, learning, happiness and success. ACFA is growing with 25 children in its care and another 125 vulnerable children from local villages attending its school. The ACFA children had previously been living on the streets and now have a roof over their heads, food in their bellies, healthcare, education and a future. Purpose of Job

This part-time and remote consultancy position will require handling key administrative responsibilities helping with social media posts, planning for fundraising campaigns, assisting to draft monthly newsletters , update the website as necessary. The time commitment is flexible and variable work hours not to exceed 20 hours per month.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the overall administrative efforts of Board Chair and Board

  • Maintain and update website (SquareSpace)

  • Prepare and post social media posts

  • Periodically manage donor database (Little Green Light)

  • Organize and manage documents in Google drive

  • Maintain calendar of important dates for social media posts

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of administrative support, preferably for a non-profit organization

  • Familiarity with various electronic platforms including website content management; particularly familiarity with SquareSpace

  • Familiarity with social media platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Buffer

  • Knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, in Design or Adobe illustrator a plus.

  • Excellent project management skills, attention to detail

  • Must have enhanced MS Office suite skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and web-based applications

  • Relevant experience working with confidential information

  • Ability to speak, read, write and understand French “a plus”

  • High reliability and integrity

  • Willingness to work as part of a team, but must be self-motivated
