Audiobook Production & Author Relations Specialist (Part-Time)

Company Description

Atmosphere Press is an author-friendly book publisher that prioritizes meaningful and rewarding author experiences above all else. We provide editorial, design, distribution, and publicity services for authors, and are an ethics-forward alternative to traditional or self-publishing. Our mostly remote team of 50 is stable, with a positive, autonomous, and mutually supportive culture. With a TrustPilot score of 4.7, Atmosphere was founded in 2015 by an author and PhD in Literature, and since then has published more than 1,200 books.

The Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and personable Audiobook Production & Author Relations Specialist to join our team.

In this part-time role, you’ll oversee audiobook projects from start to finish — from managing production logistics to uploading and distributing files on major platforms, to connecting directly with authors who are bringing their stories to life in audio form.

You’ll be the bridge between authors, narrators, and distributors, ensuring each audiobook project runs smoothly and meets Atmosphere Press’s standards of excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage audiobook production timelines and deliverables

  • Upload and organize audio files for distribution on ACX, Findaway Voices by InAudio, and Spotify

  • Conduct consultative calls with authors to discuss audiobook opportunities and guide them through the process

  • Collaborate with our publishing and editorial teams to ensure seamless integration with print and ebook releases

  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure timely communication with authors

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with audiobook production or platforms like ACX, Findaway Voices, or Spotify for Podcasters

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills — you’re comfortable talking with authors and helping them understand the audiobook process

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Technical proficiency with file management, metadata, and audio formats. Bonus points for audio editing skills

  • A passion for publishing, storytelling, and supporting independent authors

Why You’ll Love Working With Us

  • 100% Remote — flexible part-time hours

  • $20–$25/hour depending on experience

  • Start Date: Immediately

  • Commission opportunities for sales

  • Work with a creative, mission-driven team that values authors and their stories
